Picture perfect and pairing character with contemporary finesse, this unique old church with a new extension is visually timeless and adjoins farmland in idyllic Outram.
In 1893 the Church of England commissioned Mason and Wales to design St Thomas’. In recent years, The Design Studio has helped create the extension which is like a new home.
The main entrance is into the original vestry which is now an office. The exceptional craftmanship of this room and the main church, which is being used as a dining/living room, is to be cherished. It needs to be seen to be fully appreciated, as well as soaking up the atmosphere.
The switch from restored kauri to tasteful modernisation is exhibited in the kitchen/living area. This plays a central role within the floor plan and provides a relaxed backdrop to daily routines. Bi-fold doors open outdoors to a courtyard.
