The Crown was once reported as one of the “fanciest sites” in Kumara, then a bustling centre of gold mining activity on the West Coast. Although no longer bearing this honour, the Crown is sited on one of the last main street positions within the township. Kumara is located approx. 30km from both Hokitika and Greymouth, and is once again a hive of activity being a major stopping point for the 132km West Coast Wilderness cycling trail. The Crown sits on a 506sqm corner site, the remaining structure is in a state of disrepair and will be sold “As Is Where Is”. Put your thinking cap on and join forces with the other resurrected tourism operations that once again span the main street of this historical noteworthy town.
